We were visiting NYC and are so glad we stopped for dinner at Ravagh! Honestly one of the BEST Persian restaurants I've been too (and I've visited many being married to a Persian man). The food is authentic, fresh, tasty, and generous portions. Everything we got was delicious and I'd order them all again! They serve fresh bread as you sit down which is a perfect way to start your meal. My favorites were the kebabs, eggplant dip, and baklava. The decor is modern and clean. The space is tight so it's best for smaller groups (less than 6-8 people). The service was good and our server was accessible when needed. I would definitely return again when in town. Thank you for a memorable and filling meal!
Good Persian food! The food quality was good and friendly environment. We ordered the barg kabab and khoresh bademjan. The latter was so unique and flavorful. Sweet but savory and went well with the basmati rice.
We had a delivery order and the food was fantastic! We had Khoresh Fesenjan Stew, Albaloo Polo Rice, Kashk-Bademjan, Barg Kebab, Ash Reshteh Soup, Salad Olvieh, and Dolmeh. Our favorite dishes were the chicken pomegranate walnut stew (Fesenjan), sour cherry rice and the eggplant dish (Kashmiri-Bademjan). The Barg Kebab was also very tender and flavorful. I would skip the Ash Reshteh Soup. They are very generous with fresh salad side dishes, homemade bread and tasty dressings and dips. Packing is top notch and delivery is fast. Highly recommended.
Amazing and delicious food! Nice place! Tried most of the options on the menu and never got disappointed!!! I hope the prices weren't so high
Excellent food! Great service. Nice portions. Nice restaurant with great staff and service. Authentic Persian food.
Been eyeing this restaurant for weeks because i love persian food and i pass it so often going to workout classes so about time i gave it a shot i have seen many people always looking happy eating here and my persian friend even said this is one of the best restaurants for persian food - so very vetted for me to give it a shot my friends and i ordered a ton of appetizers: the grape leaf with rice was delicious. the friend dumpling was stuffed with potatoes and other delicious flavors, both dips were excellent too - the hummus had the perfect consistency and the eggplant dip was juicy and savory with so much flavor. very solid! for entrees i got the lamb for myself and it was a lot of food (and rice) i could barely finish. it should have come with some sauces / hummus because it was a little dry / flavorless but otherwise it was pretty solid and cooked well. def wanna come back for the lamb shank and more food!
This was one of the nicest experiences I had in a restaurant in Manhattan. My team and I took our lunch in that place after a recommendation of our coworker. It was the first time I had Persian food. We sat by the window, we've been offered the menus and we placed our orders. I got the chicken shish kabob and the others tried the koobideh kabob and the sirloin steak kabob. At the beginning each one of us received one plate of salad which was mouthwatering. Then our main plates arrived -in a timely manner- and we started eating right away. The food was delicious! The chicken was tender, clean tasted and flavorful. It had a few spices but it was not spiced at all. I also really liked the basmati rice on the side. The portions were more than enough. As a result we took food to our homes lol Great value of money. And the prices are very logical for Manhattan. We finished our lunch by getting the Persian ice cream. Sooo good! The service was on top of us all the times. Very attentive and kind. The interior was simple and nice too. Really good job guys! We will be coming back soon.
This was a nice little restaurant. I'm half Iranian and from CA so majority of the Persian restaurants in CA cater to majority of Iranian clientele. It was nice to see that the patrons in this restaurant were very diverse. I was traveling and alone. I was sat at the back bar so I was sat right away. For Manhattan I think the prices were fair. I ordered the tadig (not on the menu) with Ghorme Sabzi. A little disappointed to see only one piece of meat on the dish and the tadig could have been a little thicker / crispier. I also ordered the Barg kebab. Very nice, juicy and seasoned really well. The rice was also nice a fluffy and not over oily. Dinner also came with a piece of bread that was somewhere between a pita and sangak, which is a traditional Persian flat bread and an accompaniment of two dipping sauces, dill yogurt and scallion oil. Overall a nice dinner.
While in New York, we were looking for a casual spot for dinner to celebrate my bf's birthday. We had tickets to the summit and wanted to make sure we would get there on time as well. Ravagh Persian Grill was perfect! We came with a hearty appetite, so we ordered plenty and we were really full! Dishes came out in a timely manner. COMBINATION KEBOB: Perfect to share with everyone in our party of 5! Tender, flavorful meat was delicious! Some of the vegetables were charred where it was black. 4/5 LAMB CHOPS KEBOB: Our table enjoys lamb so we had to try the chops. Very juicy and tasty! Though at first, they had given us the wrong dish, but quickly switched it to the right one. Vegetables again were very charred. 4/5 SALMON KEBOB: The salmon was good though a little more cooked than I would have liked, still very good. 4/5 LAMB SHANK: Loved the spices in the stew! 5/5 CHOCOLATE CAKE: This was for our birthday boy! Very nice of them to help us celebrate this occasion. 5/5 Service was accommodating. Food was great, but wish the vegetables weren't so burnt that they became inedible. Otherwise, it was a memorable dinner!
